Bautzen is famous in Germany for two things food-wise: its mustard and its sausages. Bautz'ner Senf, the hot brown mustard sold across Germany, is made here and you will find it on every table. Local restaurants serve Lusatian and Sorbian specialities — wedding soup, pork roast with caraway, and the buckwheat pancake called pampuchy.
