Corfu Town is the island's transport hub. The airport is about 3 km south of the old town, close enough for a short taxi ride or local bus. Ferries from Igoumenitsa, Patras, and seasonal international routes arrive at the new port, west of the old town.
Green KTEL buses from the island's villages and resorts arrive at the intercity bus station near the port. Local blue buses connect the airport, port, Kanoni, and the centre. If you are driving in for the day, park outside the old town and walk in; the historic core is not a place where a car helps.
