Eating Out

The village of Ancient Corinth has several tavernas clustered near the archaeological site entrance, serving straightforward Greek food — grilled meats, salads, and fresh bread. Standards are decent given the captive tourist audience. A meal before or after the site visit is easy to arrange; the taverna immediately to the left of the site gate is reliable for lunch.

Modern Corinth, 5 km to the north on the coast, has a more varied restaurant scene with waterfront fish tavernas along the port promenade. The harbour area is pleasant in the evenings and caters more to local Greek visitors than to day-tripping tourists.
