Corinth is 90 km west of Athens, about an hour and a half by road. The most convenient approach from Athens is by bus: KTEL buses from the Kifissos bus terminal in Athens run frequently to modern Corinth (the city on the coast), taking about 90 minutes. From modern Corinth, taxis cover the 5 km to Ancient Corinth village and the archaeological site; the fare is modest.
Trains run from Athens to Corinth on the Proastiakos suburban rail network. The rail journey takes about 70 minutes and deposits you at modern Corinth station, from where you still need a taxi or local bus to reach the ruins. The scenic approach through the mountains above the Gulf of Corinth is one of the better train journeys near Athens.
By car, take the A8 Moreas motorway from Athens; the site is clearly signposted. Parking is available at the site entrance. Those with a car have the advantage of easily combining the archaeological site, Acrocorinth, and the canal in one day.
