Sitia Waterfront

The town's seafront promenade — the paralia — runs the length of the bay and is where the life of Sitia happens. By day it is fishermen mending nets and the morning ferry from Piraeus and Rhodes loading at the pier; by evening every tavern table on the strip fills up and locals walk the volta from one end to the other.

The cleaner town beach extends north from the promenade; the harbour and ferry terminal anchor the south end. A walk the full length takes 20 minutes one way and is the right way to scout a place to eat.
