Pefko is the consistently best-regarded taverna in the village, with tables that run almost to the sand at the back of Stoupa Beach. The menu is broader than most of the village competition — octopus dishes are the speciality, stifado is a reliable winter-into-spring choice, and the so-called "Stoupa chicken" (a baked dish with lemon, herbs, and feta) is on most return-visitor orders.
Service is unhurried even at peak summer dinner. Wine is local Peloponnesian; ouzo and tsipouro are the usual finishers. Reservations sensible in July and August.
