Sinful Roman Monument

The Sinful Roman Monument is a four-metre marble funerary monument near Krinides, dating from the 1st century AD. Two sides still carry inscriptions connected with the Roman officer Caius Vibius Quartus.

Its unusual local story is part of the draw: the corners were reportedly cut away to stop a fertility custom in which women rubbed against the stone in hopes of bearing sons.
