Church of the Acheiropoietos

The Church of the Acheiropoietos is one of Thessaloniki's major early Christian monuments, dating from the 5th century. Inside, the basilica still preserves marble columns, early capitals, and fragments of its original decorative mosaics.

The church is a quiet but important stop in the centre, especially for visitors tracing Thessaloniki's Byzantine and early Christian heritage. It sits within easy walking distance of Hagia Sofia, the Roman Forum, and other historic churches.
