Esztergom organises itself naturally around the castle hill. Start at the top with the basilica and the royal palace ruins, then work your way down through the Dark Gate to the Víziváros district at the river's edge. The Christian Museum, the Maria Valéria Bridge, and a walk along the Danube fill the rest of a comfortable day.
