Fitzgerald's Park

A handsome Victorian park on the west bank of the Lee, named for the Lord Mayor who oversaw the 1902 Cork International Exhibition for which it was created. The park has lawns, mature trees, a rose garden, a small pond with ducks, and the Cork Public Museum at one corner. The Daly's Bridge — the famous "Shaky Bridge", a footbridge that wobbles underfoot — crosses from the park to the north bank. A good twenty-minute walk from the city centre along the river path.
