University College Cork

UCC's main quadrangle is a fine 1840s Tudor Gothic composition by the English architect Sir Thomas Deane, set on a wooded campus on the western edge of the city. The Honan Chapel, just off the quad, is an early-twentieth-century Hiberno-Romanesque revival built to showcase the best of contemporary Irish stained glass, including Harry Clarke windows. The university grounds are open to the public during daylight.

The Lewis Glucksman Gallery on campus is a contemporary art space in a cantilevered timber-and-glass building that won the 2005 Stirling Prize shortlist. Worth thirty minutes for the architecture alone.
