Etto on Merrion Row is a small, quietly excellent Italian restaurant that has built a devoted following since opening in 2013. The menu takes a small-plates approach drawn from across Italy — cured meats, bruschetta, pasta made in-house, and a short selection of mains. Everything is carefully sourced and simply executed.
The room is narrow and intimate, with just a handful of tables. The natural wine list is one of the better ones in Dublin. Etto is the kind of restaurant that rewards repeat visits: the menu evolves with the seasons and the kitchen's interests. Booking is strongly advised, as it fills quickly for both lunch and dinner.
