Glover's Alley

Andy McFadden's fine dining restaurant in the Fitzwilliam Hotel on St Stephen's Green

Glover's Alley in the Fitzwilliam Hotel is chef Andy McFadden's flagship restaurant and one of the most accomplished fine dining kitchens in Ireland. McFadden, previously of L'Ecrivain and Locks, produces tasting menus that are technically precise and quietly creative — the cooking has confidence without the need to surprise for its own sake.

Irish produce is central: Kerry lamb, Castletownbere crab, Wicklow venison, with technique and imagination applied to make the most of each. The dining room is serene, with views over St Stephen's Green. Service is formal and attentive. Glover's Alley holds a Michelin star and is worth every euro of its tasting menu price. Booking is essential and should be made weeks in advance.
