The Anna Livia Monument is a bronze sculpture inspired by Anna Livia Plurabelle, James Joyce's personification of the River Liffey in Finnegans Wake. Created in 1988 and later moved west to Croppies Memorial Park, it is a small but pleasing stop for anyone following Joyce through Dublin.
The sculpture sits beside a shallow pool, away from the bustle of the city centre. It is not a major sight on its own, but it adds a literary footnote to a walk toward Kilmainham or the river.
