Ireland's dedicated photography gallery occupies a light-filled building on Meeting House Square, one of Temple Bar's few open public spaces. The gallery shows free exhibitions of contemporary photography alongside historical work, with a particular focus on Irish photographers and international work with Irish themes.
The square itself is worth visiting: it hosts an outdoor food market on weekends, and several of the surrounding buildings — including the Irish Film Institute — make it the cultural heart of Temple Bar.
