Project Arts Centre has been the home of Dublin's experimental arts scene since 1967. Located on East Essex Street in Temple Bar, it programmes theatre, dance, live art, and visual exhibitions that push beyond the mainstream, and has premiered work by many of Ireland's most significant artists and companies.
The building was rebuilt in 2000 with two flexible performance spaces and a gallery. If you want to see what's genuinely new in Irish performance rather than tourist-friendly traditional fare, this is the place to start.
