Villa Comunale is the small clifftop park beside the Chiostro di San Francesco, and one of the easiest places in Sorrento to get a clean view over the Bay of Naples. The terrace looks across the water to Mount Vesuvius, with the harbour directly below.
It is not a grand sight, but it is a useful pause in the old town circuit, especially around sunset. From here you can take the lift down toward the waterfront or continue on foot through the lanes around San Francesco.
