A laid-back bar in Villa d'Almè, perched in the hills about 8 km north of Bergamo's Città Alta. The leafy garden makes it a good daytime escape from the city, and on summer evenings the place comes alive with live music sets -- mostly jazz, folk, and acoustic acts. The crowd is local and relaxed, the drinks are cheap by northern Italian standards, and the setting among the trees is genuinely pleasant. Worth the short drive or bus ride if you want an evening out that feels nothing like a tourist center.
