Antiquarium di Numana

The Antiquarium is the regional archaeology museum, housed in a small modern building in the upper town of Numana. The collection is built around the finds from the Picene necropolises along the Riviera — gold jewellery, amber from the Baltic trade, fine bronzes, and Greek vases imported in the sixth and fifth centuries BC.

The objects are first-rate, the display modern, and the museum manageable in an hour. A reasonable stop on a beach day, especially if the heat has driven you off the sand.
