The Riviera is short — twenty kilometres of cliffed coast from Ancona down to Porto Recanati — but packed. The mountain itself is a regional park crossed by walking trails; the beaches at its foot are some of the best on the Italian Adriatic; the hill towns of Sirolo and Numana sit on the cliffs above. A long weekend covers it; a week lets you do it well.
