Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle

The Beach of the Two Sisters is the postcard image of the Riviera del Conero — a stretch of white pebbles at the foot of a sheer cliff, with two limestone stacks rising directly out of the sea a few metres offshore. The water is the pale turquoise that limestone gives the Adriatic.

Access is by sea: regular boats run from the Numana harbour through the summer. A footpath descends from the top of the mountain at Passo del Lupo, but it is steep, rough, and closed when wet — sturdy shoes required and a full bottle of water. The beach has no services.

A story
Two white limestone stacks rise out of the sea a few metres off the beach, named the Two Sisters for the obvious reason. The only way in is by boat or by a steep, rough trail down the cliff — which has kept it as quiet as a beach an hour's drive from Ancona can possibly be.
