Monopoli has good seafood and all the staples of Puglian cooking: orecchiette, fave e cicorie, and burrata — made locally and far better than what you find in the north. The restaurants around the old harbour tend to be the most reliable, though the better ones fill quickly in summer and it is worth booking ahead.
