Chiesa di Ognissanti

A small Romanesque church near the harbour, built by the Knights Templar in the 12th century to serve crusaders embarking for the Holy Land. The plain three-nave plan, the rough-cut limestone, and the simple wooden roof give it a feel of austere muscular function — and the sea is close enough that the bells could be heard from the ships. Opening hours are erratic and the church is often closed; look through the iron gate even if the door is locked.
