The working harbour is the social heart of Trani, particularly in the evening when the fishing boats come in and the restaurants along Via Banchina al Porto begin to fill. The curve of the quay reaches around toward the cathedral, framing the famous view. Watch the fishermen unload sea urchins and octopus around midday; the daily fish auction is informal and quick. Sunset along the promenade is the local passeggiata.
