Palazzo d'Albis

Palazzo d'Albis is a 16th-century Gothic building on Alghero's Piazza Civica, notable less for size than for its place in the old town's Catalan-Aragonese fabric. Emperor Charles V stayed here in 1541, on his way through Sardinia.

It is a quick look rather than a destination in itself, but it fits naturally into a walk through Alghero's historic centre, between the cathedral, towers, and sea walls.
