Giardino Bellini

The Giardino Bellini, known to locals as 'A Villa', is the main public park of central Catania, set on a small hill at the top of Via Etnea. It is a nineteenth-century garden in the formal Italian style, with avenues of palms, marble busts of nineteenth-century notables, fountains, and views of Mount Etna from the upper terraces.

It is the standard meeting place for Sunday afternoons and the venue for the Sant'Agata fireworks in February. Free to enter, open until late in the summer evenings.
