Most of the evening drinking centres on Marina Corta, where the cafes lay tables out on the small square in front of the church and Lipari does its passeggiata. A glass of Malvasia delle Lipari before dinner is the local move; an espresso after is the other.
The Corso has bigger, brighter bars more popular with families and day-trippers. Beyond the centre, the village of Canneto has a small string of beach bars open in summer.
