Lipari town is walkable end to end. To reach the rest of the island, take the orange Urso buses from the harbour: one route loops north (Canneto–Acquacalda–Quattropani) and another runs south (Pianoconte–Quattrocchi). Buses are infrequent — check the schedule at the kiosk near Marina Lunga in advance.
Scooter or small-car rental is the most flexible option for a couple of days. Several agencies near Marina Lunga rent by the day. A small electric tourist train also runs short loops in summer. For inter-island travel, Liberty Lines hydrofoils and Siremar ferries leave from Marina Lunga.
