Getting There

The nearest airport is Trapani-Birgi, on the road between Marsala and Trapani, about 20 minutes north by car or bus. Ryanair flies in from a number of European cities. Palermo's larger airport is about 110 kilometres away and is the better option for North American or long-haul connections.

Marsala has a small train station on the coastal line that runs between Trapani and Castelvetrano, with onward connections to Palermo. Trains are slow and infrequent; long-distance buses (Segesta, Salemi) tend to be faster.

Driving is the most practical option for exploring the wine country and Selinunte to the south.
