Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are ideal — mild temperatures, good light for photography, and fewer visitors than high summer. July and August are hot and busy; the limestone streets of Ibla hold the heat well past sunset. Winter is quiet and cool but the town looks beautiful even in grey weather.
The Ibla Buskers Festival in late June draws street performers from across Europe and is a good excuse to visit just before the summer crowds peak.
