The café on Piazza Garibaldi facing the Fortino has been serving espresso and cornetti to the town's residents since the early postwar years. It is the social nucleus of Forte dei Marmi in the mornings — the place where old residents, visiting families, and the occasional celebrity all share the same narrow bar. The house pastries are good; the coffee is very good. The terrace tables on the square are the best spot in town for watching the evening passeggiata pass by.
