Magione sits on the SS75 road between Perugia (20 km east) and Castiglione del Lago (20 km west). By car it is easily reached from either direction, and the road passes close to the lake shore.
The nearest train station is at Magione itself, on the Ferrovia Centrale Umbra regional line that connects Perugia with Città di Castello to the north. Trains from Perugia take about 25 minutes. The station is a short walk from the town centre. Coming from further afield, Perugia is the practical hub — it has good rail and road connections to Rome (about 2.5 hours), Florence (about 1.5 hours), and the A1 motorway.
