Magione's main draw is its lakeside position on Lake Trasimeno, combined with a handful of genuinely interesting medieval buildings. The town itself is compact and easy to cover on foot. The more ambitious excursions take you around the lake shore, out to the islands, or up to the medieval hilltop village of Montecolognola.
