Located in the Palazzo Soliano next to the cathedral, the National Archaeological Museum focuses on finds from two major Etruscan sites around Orvieto: the Belvedere Temple and the Crocifisso del Tufo necropolis. The collection is smaller and more focused than the Faina museum but valuable for understanding the Etruscan city that once occupied this plateau.
The highlight is the reconstruction of the Belvedere Temple, including its original architectural terracotta sculptures. The museum is managed by the Italian national monuments authority and is included in the combined ticket with the Palazzo Soliano and nearby Orvieto Sì Card.
