Mestre is served by two airports. Marco Polo International Airport (VCE) is the closest, about 20 minutes away by bus or train. Treviso Airport (TSF), used by budget carriers like Ryanair, is roughly 50 minutes by road. If you are not renting a car, Marco Polo is the better choice -- a short train ride connects the airport directly to Mestre station. By rail, Mestre sits on the main north-south line and is well connected to the rest of Italy.
