A traditional osteria near Piazza Ferretto that has been feeding the locals of Mestre for decades. The menu changes with the season and whatever came in that morning from the market — expect risotto in the Venetian manner, baccalà (salt cod) prepared two or three ways, and good simple pasta. The wine list favours Veneto producers.
It is the kind of place that does not bother with a website and does not need to. Prices are reasonable, the room is small, and booking ahead is advisable on weekday lunchtimes when the local office workers fill it up. Closed Sunday evenings and Mondays.
