Parco Bissuola

Parco Bissuola — officially the Parco Albanese — is Mestre's main city park, a well-maintained green space with a small botanical garden (the Orto Botanico Locatelli), sports facilities, a swimming pool, a skateboard park, and large areas of lawn and woodland. It is a genuinely useful park in the best Italian tradition: somewhere to go for a run, kick a ball, or sit in the shade with a book.

The botanical garden within the park is tiny but has a good collection of medicinal and aromatic plants. The park is popular with school groups in the morning and families in the afternoon. It is about 15 minutes walk from Piazza Ferretto, or a short bus ride.
