Giardino Giusti is Verona's great historic garden, laid out behind the Giusti palace on the quieter eastern side of the Adige. Its clipped hedges, cypress walk, statues, and terraces give you a very different Verona from the Roman arena and crowded shopping streets.
The climb to the upper viewpoint is the reason to take your time. From there the city lies below in a compact sweep of towers, roofs, and river bends, with enough garden formality around you to make the view feel staged in the best possible way.
