The Hamam of Haxhi Beu is one of Peja’s surviving Ottoman-era civic buildings, a bathhouse from the period when the city’s streets, markets, mosques, and craft life were closely tied together. Its domes and masonry are modest compared with grand imperial hammams, but the building gives Peja’s centre a valuable historical layer.
The site is best appreciated as part of a walk through old Peja, together with the bazaar area, mosques, and surviving traditional houses. Access and restoration conditions can vary, so treat it less as a polished museum and more as a piece of urban heritage that helps explain the city before modern Kosovo grew around it.
