Pristina punches well above its weight for nightlife. The scene clusters around Mother Teresa Street and the university district, and stays alive well into the early hours on weekends. A young, mixed local-and-international crowd fills everything from garden bars to basement jazz clubs.
Zanzibar, just off Mother Teresa Street one block south of the Iliria Hotel, is the place for dark, smoky basement jazz — the Zanziband plays here regularly. Zebra bar near the university is a mellower alternative and less smoky.
Kaqa is ideal for early evening: a garden bar with a pond, a lively crowd, and good people-watching. Movie Club is a large outdoor bar opposite the OSCE, behind the Irish pub, where live bands play on Friday and Saturday nights.
After 10pm the Irish bar heats up, staying open until sunrise with famously packed dancing. Omikron, up the alley behind the Irish, is a stylish Greek bar with food that draws a largely international crowd. Terambire, up the steps opposite the military statue on Mother Teresa Street near the university, has great architectural bones and a young local crowd.
