Getting There

Liechtenstein has no airport and no railway station of its own. The standard approach is from Switzerland: take a train to Sargans or Buchs SG on the main Zurich–Chur line, and then catch the LIEmobil bus across the Rhine to Vaduz. From Sargans the bus runs every 15 to 30 minutes and takes about half an hour; from Buchs SG it is even quicker.

Zurich Airport is around 110 km away by road or rail and is the most common gateway. From the airport, you can be in Vaduz in about two hours by train and bus, or 90 minutes by car. The other practical entry point is Feldkirch in Austria, also on the main rail network and connected to Vaduz by bus. By road, the A13 motorway runs the length of the Liechtenstein side of the Rhine valley.
