Druskininkai is a spa resort first and a tourist destination second. Most visitors come for the mineral baths, the wellness centres, or the Aqua Park. But the town also has a fine Orthodox church, a world-famous Soviet sculpture park just outside town, an indoor ski slope, and more genuine character than the spa-resort label might suggest.
