Nida's Amber Museum is a small stop, but amber belongs on the Curonian Spit as naturally as dunes and smoked fish. The displays explain how Baltic amber forms, why pieces wash up along this coast, and how colour, inclusions, and polishing turn resin into jewellery.
It is also a gallery, so expect some commercial overlap. That does not make it useless: if you are thinking of buying amber in Nida, this is a better place to learn what you are looking at before choosing a pendant from the tourist counters.
