Vero Cafe is Lithuania's answer to serious espresso — a local chain that takes coffee properly and has a branch right on Cathedral Square with outdoor tables looking directly at the Cathedral and Gediminas Hill. The coffee is well-made, the pastries are good, and the location is among the most coveted outdoor table real estate in Vilnius.
It is inevitably busier and pricier than cafes a few streets away, but the people-watching and the view justify the premium. The Cathedral Square branch is the main one; others are scattered across the old town and Gedimino Avenue. Good for a morning coffee before tackling the sights.
