Nospelt is a small village in the Kopstal commune of Luxembourg, in the Gutland region south of the Ardennes. It is a quiet agricultural settlement, but one with an unusual distinction: from the 15th century until 1914, Nospelt was the centre of Luxembourgish pottery production. The village's last potter closed his workshop in 1914, and the building now houses a small Pottery Museum that tells the story of this overlooked craft tradition.
The village is not a destination in itself but makes a pleasant detour for those exploring the Luxembourg countryside. The Café-Restaurant Bonifas on the Grand-Rue serves a decent mixture of French and local cuisine in unpretentious surroundings. The surrounding commune has some walking trails through farmland and scattered woodland.
