Krkardas is a hilltop memorial above northern Bitola. Local tradition connects the site with a battle in which 40 Macedonian fighters died against Ottoman forces, and today the spot is marked as a place of remembrance.
The elevated location also gives views back over the city, making it a short stop for visitors already exploring Bitola's northern side.
