The Church of St. Ilija (Свети Илија) is one of the older Orthodox churches in Radoviš, sitting in the older residential quarter north of the main square. It has the sturdy, low-slung profile typical of Macedonian churches built during the Ottoman period, when church builders could not construct towers or facades that would overshadow mosques, and had to embed their churches discreetly into the urban fabric.
The interior retains older frescoes with a more weathered, layered quality than the Holy Trinity church — some appear to date from the 18th or early 19th century. The church is not always open outside of service times, but asking at the nearby houses usually produces someone with a key. It is a ten-minute walk from the main square through streets of traditional stone houses.
