Radoviš has a humid subtropical climate — hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 31°C, and the valley can feel airless in July and August; the surrounding mountains are more comfortable at that time of year. January is the coldest month, averaging just over 1°C, with regular snowfall that turns the Plačkovica foothills into a different landscape entirely.
The best times to visit are spring (April–May) and early autumn (September–October). In April and May, the fields around town are green, the pomegranate trees are in flower, and the Plačkovica meadows are at their best — snow still lingers on the upper slopes while the lower trails are clear. Autumn brings the harvest season, which gives the town market a particular energy, and the light on the mountains is at its most vivid.
Radoviš does not have major festivals that would alone justify a visit, but the town's quiet calendar is part of its appeal. You are unlikely to compete with other travellers for anything.
