Radoviš is a small town, but it repays a day's wandering. The main draw is the surrounding landscape: the Plačkovica mountains rise steeply to the south and east, offering hiking routes that see almost nobody. In town, a cluster of Orthodox churches and a ruined fortress fill out the sightseeing. The pace is slow and genuinely local — this is not a town that performs itself for visitors.
