A landmark thatched cone-shaped wooden building in the village of Smailagića Polje just outside Kolašin — built in the traditional savardak style of the Bjelasica katuns. The restaurant inside serves the full canon of Montenegrin mountain cooking: kacamak, cicvara, smoked trout, spit lamb, home-made cheese and ajvar. The atmosphere is the point: an open fire in the middle, sheepskin rugs on the benches, traditional rakija served in small carafes.
Around €20-25 a head for a full meal with rakija. Reservations sensible in season. There are also a couple of guest rooms attached for an overnight stay.
